We live with hope for a new world
Not that we expected the worst
But times changed in a couple of years
It seemed we were living cursed
Yet we learned to cope with uncertainty
Wore masks and shields to protect
Vaccinated and took our health seriously
When symptoms started, we got checked
We have begun a new year with a new hope
It’s a fight against a new death star
Attempting to destroy the lives we know
But many joined the rebellion for war
A war against an ever-present threat
With a hope that we will get back to normal
But normal will be better, I’m sure
And we will come out forever grateful
